Ciao! I was born in Santa Margherita Ligure and emigrated to the USA with my family when I was a boy. Aside from y immediate family, the rest of my family resides in Milano, Piacenza, Rapallo e Santa Margherita Ligure. I am fluent in Italian and though I visit Italy infrequently, I stay in touch with my family there. I reside in Nyack, NY with my wife, (a well-known food stylist who was one of the original employees of the Food Network and has worked on many tv shows, books, etc…)our daughter and our two cats. I was an owner of a well know and well reviewed, rosticceria in Manhattan for a number of years back in the 80’s. I am an avid gardener, tomatoes being my specialty, and an accomplished bread baker. Simply said, I love food, eating, preparing, growing. I was introduced to your food through my recent purchase of your wonderful book Cucina Povera.
