Hi I'm Deborah. I'm 71 and have been cooking since before I started school. My Mother desided to teach me, as I was so eager to learn. I have not stopped learning. I took a simple culinary course at a local trade school many years ago. I've always loved to cook. I've spent 50 years working in resaurants. From cooking to managing. That is how I show love is with food. I taught myself Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern, Vega nad Vegetarian and now Italian. I collect good cookbooks and lots of happy friends. As I am now a shut-in, this is how I travel and see the world through authentic recipes.

Hi Deborah, I'm so happy to have you here! You must have so much to share about your journey with food, with all the different aspects of food. I love when you say that you collect good cookbooks and happy friends! :D it is so true!

I hope this newsletter will make you travel, and I'll make sure to share more photos from my walks in the countryside and market hauls to give you even more insight into this local-to-me world!

Thank you for letting join you on your journey. My kitchen has begun to smell of garlic. Sauces are being prepared. and soon pasta will be produced. (I started with gnocchi. A garlicy cream sauce and a lovely tomato sauce with fresh basil.) I've bought a few hand tools so my pasta will be as pretty as it is good.

I look forward to more travels with you. I am with you in spirit for sure.
