We pre-ordered from Powell’s, our local independent bookstore, as soon as we returned from our most recent trip to Italy and our fabulous cooking class with you. Can’t wait until it arrives!

I can’t tell you how much your new book—and the write-up about it—thrills me! The Italian words, Cucina Povera, and the French words, Cuisine de Pauvre, have sent me on a twenty-year odyssey interviewing families in both countries because of this very term and what it represents. The beautiful integration of food, family, history and the uniqueness of the region contributes to the celebration of life! This has led to my writing four of my last five books.

I must say, it looks like you are celebrating Cucina Povera in the best of ways! I applaud you and thank you. Carole Bumpus, September to Remember: Searching for Culinary Pleasures at the Italian Table.

Thank you I have just ordered my copy to be delivered to South Australia. I cannot wait. I have followed your blog for many years and love your recipes as they introduced me to learn to cook Italian food and now I am a more confident cook. I also have now made 2 trips to Italy as a result

Thanks Giulia for such an inspiring book. I am reading some books suggested by you on food writing and love them all. Now I have ore-ordered yours and can’t wait to read it. So curious to dig more on the topic of Italian “poor man” food 🤩

I love this! My friend Matteo made a film about "Arrangiarsi: pizza... and the art of living" and I know that art—and the cuisine of Italy from living and spending a lot of time there. Tanti auguri!

I am interested in your book. I often look to see if we can get a peek into a book to see more of what it offers before purchasing it. Your new book does not offer that. Might you be willing and able to make that change? I think they take it from the kindle copy.
