We pre-ordered from Powell’s, our local independent bookstore, as soon as we returned from our most recent trip to Italy and our fabulous cooking class with you. Can’t wait until it arrives!

I can’t tell you how much your new book—and the write-up about it—thrills me! The Italian words, Cucina Povera, and the French words, Cuisine de Pauvre, have sent me on a twenty-year odyssey interviewing families in both countries because of this very term and what it represents. The beautiful integration of food, family, history and the uniqueness of the region contributes to the celebration of life! This has led to my writing four of my last five books.
I must say, it looks like you are celebrating Cucina Povera in the best of ways! I applaud you and thank you. Carole Bumpus, September to Remember: Searching for Culinary Pleasures at the Italian Table.
I mentioned you, your husband and your new upcoming book on my newsletter as I was celebrating the importance of traditions! And you two have nailed it! Carole
Thank you I have just ordered my copy to be delivered to South Australia. I cannot wait. I have followed your blog for many years and love your recipes as they introduced me to learn to cook Italian food and now I am a more confident cook. I also have now made 2 trips to Italy as a result
Michaela your words made me so happy!! Yes, because you preordered the book ( thank you), but also, and more importantly, because somehow my recipes inspired you to cook and this made you a more confident cook! That’s the best compliment for someone writing recipes!
Thanks Giulia for such an inspiring book. I am reading some books suggested by you on food writing and love them all. Now I have ore-ordered yours and can’t wait to read it. So curious to dig more on the topic of Italian “poor man” food 🤩
I love this! My friend Matteo made a film about "Arrangiarsi: pizza... and the art of living" and I know that art—and the cuisine of Italy from living and spending a lot of time there. Tanti auguri!
Ordered ours!! So excited to try out the recipes in this book. We still use the recipes you taught us in our cooking class in Tuscany. Congratulations on fulfilling a life long dream with this book.
Congratulations Giulia and Tommaso (and Livia)! What a fabulous achievement. Wishing you huge success with the cookbook. Is Amazon the only seller option or have I missed the list? I have no doubt the recipes will be tasty and the photos beautiful. I look forward to placing my order. Warmly Lee
Congratulations ……I am happy for you and excited for all of us! Giulia I know this is truly a labour of love ……know I for one am feeling the ripples…….
Guess where my Christmas Amazon card is going??? I’m happy to pre order and can’t wait to have it in my kitchen. I’m big on simple and fresh and after the cooking class at your studio, I know the recipes will be delicious. Happiest New Years to you all!
I am interested in your book. I often look to see if we can get a peek into a book to see more of what it offers before purchasing it. Your new book does not offer that. Might you be willing and able to make that change? I think they take it from the kindle copy.

You are right Toby! In the next weeks I will share more photos and even sneak peeks into the book!
