I’ve been in a busy whirlwind and just now starting to think about it.

Some Christmas eve’s we do the Italian American tradition of 7 Fishes --I hated it as a child but now I love fish and many kinds of seafood. Christmas Day is more low key but I think some kind of filled it baked pasta would be nice.

I’m looking forward to hearing your menu, and other people’s as well.

In my ideal world, I would sit next to the fireplace jotting down menu ideas for Christmas weeks in advance. In my real messy world, I'm still thinking about what we're going to cook, as we still have to decide where it will be! :D But more ideas are coming soon!

Christmas is when my husband cooks! He makes his meatballs and lasagna using his Mom’s recipe. It’s a family favorite. I am going to make him the fresh pasta sheets for the lasagna this year. Crossing fingers it goes well 🤞

ah! this is a Christmas gift! love some team work for Christmas! I'm sure your lasagna sheets will be perfect, and, if they are not, they are going to be covered in sauce and nobody will notice! <3

After almost 35 years of cooking for ~16 relatives for La Vigilia (Italian Christmas Eve supper with multiple fish/seafood courses), our son Christopher has hosted for the past 4 years. We still help him make the pasta course the day before, this year: Lobster & Crab Manicotti. I will prepare some of the antipasti: Baccalà Mantecato, a hot Langoustino spread, Tuna Mascarpone Cream, and also for main course: Scallops gal forno con pane grattugiato con le erbe, Cozze (mussels cooked with tomatoes, spices and hot pepper). Christopher adds other fish & seafood dishes and we all contribute our homemade Christmas cookies for dessert.
