On my recent visit to the market I purchased Swiss Chard. My mother always made this vegetable. Simply sauteed in a little evoo and garlic, it's sweet and savory. I also like buying celery, radishes and summer squash. There is nothing like fresh vegetables and fruit straight from the garden.

We never know how long the items have been in the supermarkets. Off season it's okay but during Summer and early Fall, Farmer's Markets are the way to go.
