The introduction of this made me smile - I did have my blog then, but before I had a home to look after, and our lives got busy and complicated living in a flat share in London on the evenings I was not eating out all I had to do was cook, so I was also labelled as the person who took elaborate packed lunches to the office each day!
Your introduction relating to Tessa Kiros and what she means to you is very moving. It's always a welcome surprise when you meet someone you are simpatico with. When it leads to a lifelong
friendship, it is among other things such a comfort.
I am off to check out Ms. Kiros' cookbooks. Grazie.
I have Venezia; Recipes and Dreams from an Italian Lilfe; and Food from Many Greek Kitchens. Just writing their titles makes me want to pull them off the shelf and lose myself in them. I'm looking forward to the new one!
I am an avid cookbook collector. I think you’ve introduced me to the next member of my family. Thank you!
you'll love Tessa Kiros and all her books!
Hortopita is a word as lovely as the recipe sounds
you are right! I love also the sound of it!
What a beautiful book--and this greens pie! I (still!!!) have oodles of Swiss Chard in the garden, maybe I will make it this week.
that's the perfect pie for oodles of greens. I love how herby and tangy it is, try it!
Made this pie with local Indian greens! Absolutely loved it. Thank you so much for introducing us to her work and writing this piece.
Well done Kashmira! I love when a recipe can be easily reproduced with something local for us, and Tessa's recipes always work like magic.
I just put this cookbook into my wishlist!
yay!

You'll love her cookbooks! I value the time we spend together, and I'll be forever grateful for our friendship.
I have three of Tessa’s beautiful books. I think I’ll need to add her new one to my collection. They are all so alluring and gorgeous.
