I enjoy melon and prosciutto. It's a wonderful starter and very refreshing. The combination of sweet and salty whets the appetite.

When I was in Italy, I was introduced to a combination of salami and figs. Also, delicious.

Figs are very expensive here but for special occasions I serve them with a thick slice of salami. Yum.
