I made the salad last night. It was a mixed reaction. I loved it, different and refreshing. Enjoyed the combination of flavors. Everyone ate it---good. Several raved about it .

I enjoy melon and prosciutto. It's a wonderful starter and very refreshing. The combination of sweet and salty whets the appetite.

When I was in Italy, I was introduced to a combination of salami and figs. Also, delicious.

Figs are very expensive here but for special occasions I serve them with a thick slice of salami. Yum.

that's another favourite combination, and usually around this time the appetiser I switch to during classes. We have a small fig tree that produces tons of tiny, sweet as honey figs, so I can really indulge in them!
