RCR has a place in my heart and my career! In the 80s I worked at an ad agency in Firenze and we had the RCR account. I personally designed many of their logos, packaging and catalogues! And of course I have visited the factory. I still use some of their glasses, which proudly proclaimed 24% pure lead crystal!!

A great story of innovation and reinvention. Because it's so often artisanal products that are celebrated in Italy, it's easy to forget that the same spirit of craftsmanship exists in so many of it's larger manufacturing businesses, from Ferrari to textile companies to companies like RCR.

We will have to add RCR to our list of places to visit! We have been to three weaving factories/workshops in Italy: Busatti in Anghiari, Tessitura Pardi near Montefalco and Giuditta Brozzetti in Perugia. We also visited Studio Moretti Caselli stained glass workshop and museum in Perugia. We love visiting these kinds of places!

This was so neat to read about. I still remember as a child visiting the waterford factory. It was mesmerizing.

I love crystal ! I have some from RCR. I krew that they are Italian but have no idea that they’re made in Tuscany. I like use them every day. For me, water tastes better from crystal glass ;). In Poland, we have also a great factory - Huta Julia.
