Lecce is one of my favorite cities in Italy. I've been there twice and spent a few days each time. It's lovely. One city (in Italy of course) I wish I had more time in was , Ravenna, I would like to spend at least a week there.

Our son is plays viola for the Italy nation orchestra, Santa Cecilia. When staying at his villa in Sacrofano we rarely eat in a restaurant there but go to Roma for dinner. This past Thanksgiving we went to a wonder restaurant il Grottino in Sacrofano. All things wonderful…beans and cured meats homemade pasta, wild boar Ragu,, lamb, cheeses wine and wonderful homemade desserts!

So beautiful Tommaso. I am really enjoying your Postcards.

I can absolutely relate. We visit my parents in Pittsburgh and have seen so little of that city. And even when I would visit my mother in Brooklyn, i could barely ever carve out time for Manhattan, which seems so silly! I grew up there so I cannot say I don’t know it, but not the same as experiencing it over the years, exploring, trying new places.

And with a toddler, things are even harder! Soon she will probably drive your explorations, in a way. I mean, i have not explored downtown Pittsburgh but for a while I knew some great playgrounds!

I grew up in New York in the borough of The Bronx. Many Summers were spent in Massachusetts at the home of my widowed aunt. For a kid from the city it was idyllic. Blueberry picking, days at the beach, eating watermelon and tomato sandwiches fresh from the farm. My mother would assume the role of 'mom' to her niece and nephew while her sister went to work. My father would join us for a week during his Summer vacation. It was a small house but big on love.

As I got older, I often mentioned going into Boston. No response. We were there to visit my aunt and

spend time with our cousins. Well when I started driving I made an announcement 'I'm going into Boston' and yeah it happened. Boston is a very important city and its history is well known for The Boston Tea Party during the American Revolution. Names like Paul Revere and Samuel Adams are in our history books. I've returned to Boston several times to soak up its history but I'll never forget the

days of Summer in the country.
