Bought your book - Kindle, I am afraid, as we have a lifestyle where we move around a lot and can't take my books with me any other way.

But the good thing is, I can read it straight away. Maybe even in time for lunch!

I'll confess you something: I love cookbooks on my Kindle. Easy to access them, easy to bring into the kitchen, and they do not weigh like the paper books!

It's true. I hate saying so because I had a whole career in publishing, but it's a fact, e-books are so handy! Now i write about history of art - if you ever get a break from the kitchen maybe take a look ( https://peterharkness.substack.com/ ) I try to be light-hearted and easy to read. Peter

this is something completely new to me, but my mother in law used to love art history! so I'll read something in her memory!

My pleasure - and I am already loving the recipes. I am somebody who sits and reads recipe books like other people read novels. They give me great pleasure. My wife and I love Italian food and I have taken over most of the cooking since she has been writing her new books and I am getting better all the time. By the way, her first book was the bio of a talented woman artist who ended her days in Tuscany where she died of flu while working in a refugee camp. Scrumptious idea! I’ll give it a go with the ‘leftover’ jar. Oh, btw it was yummo 😃

I have Nigel Slater’s book on my kitchen table already to start tomorrow. I, like you, used to be a summer girl but now am more into the wintering rest and renewal. A time of reflection and I am going to get Katherine’s book. It sounds so wonderful and reflective. I was born in January and guess it took awhile for me to appreciate being a winter baby! I’m sorry I will miss the cook a long this month. I will be at a football game with my husband. 🏈🍁🍂

I am so happy you are celebrating these special movements, even if belated. It’s so easy to let them slip by. Andras and I celebrated our (15!!) wedding anniversary earlier this month and they meal still lingers on my tongue and heart.

Yes, we need to learn to take time to celebrate, we lost the habit over the years.

And congratulations to you and Andras!!

Broccoli Rabe and Orecchiette is a big favorite and sometimes I add sausage. The pear and cheese crostini looks delicious. I'll be giving that a try. Thank you.
