That final picture of all the food on the table is stunning - and we did one like that for my last cookbook cover, and for the start of each chapter so I know how challenging they are to style!

that took us A LOT of time! and it didn't even make it to the book, so we wanted to share it at least here!

Oh that is such a shame! But: space. You'd need a double page spread to do it justice in print!

I still remembering the stress of having the big page print outs spread over my kitchen table showing me where I had to cut text to fit it into the space!

So interesting to read about “behind the scenes” when I hold your beautiful book Cucina Povera in my hand. Yes, you do make me hungry when I watch the alluring photos. Can’t wait to start cooking. Well done, the two of you (and your friends)! Now it’s our (the readers) turn to do our job. Non vedo l’ora!

I'm even more excited to get the book now and it all looks amazing! Totally off subject but I caught a glimpse of your tattoo on your shoulder but not all. Would you be willing to tell about it? xoxo Lisa

ah! my tattoo! well it dates back to 16 years ago, if I remember well! it was done to remind me of the important things that helped me get through a difficult moment: family, friendship and swimming (not that I swam, but I was supporting the Italian team and that gave me motivation, made me travel, meet new friends, and find fun in my life!)

My favorite picture is of Livia sampling a slice covered in chocolate. She too is covered chocolate.
