Ciao, Giulia! My mom is a web developer. I emailed you with some advice she passed along for getting your website back on Google. I hope it helps! Googling a recipe for arista after my first trip to Tuscany in 2016 was exactly how I found you, and I've been tagging along ever since.
Ciao Jessica, I'm reading your email right now, THANK YOU so much! At the moment our tech person is trying to understand what happened, and if we cannot solve it, I'll be very glad to be connected with your mum. Thank you!
And I'm so glad to know that it was the arista that connected us! :)
It's a Google policy, there must be some changes made and you' ll be back 😉I will write a summary later for you....our project suffered something similar recently and now it's working. But it needs some effort. Anyway, I plan to come next year 😎
Hi Maria, yes! I’m going through my emails right now after a cooking class and a long weekend! Thank you in advance, and you’ll read me soon via email!
Hi Giulia. I’m sorry this must be devastating. I have a tiny bit of insight that might be helpful— Google over the last year has been updating their algorithms for their search function at a rapid pace — July 2026 was the most recent and might explain your recent issues. Here’s an article about it https://seovendor.co/google-algorithm-updates-june-2026/. Perhaps someone with expertise in SEO, search engine optimization could help?
On a side note, when I typed in ‘cooking classes in Tuscany’ Juls kitchen did not show up but when I typed in ‘cooking classes in Tuscany Juls Kitchen’ it did.
I hope you get some answers soon! You provide exceptional value and inspiration! 😊
This is something we have been worrying about for a while now... I hope that my blog has not been labelled as obsolete! Good thing, though, that when you search for "cooking classes in Tuscany Juls Kitchen" it shows up!
That's infuriating about the Google issue, Giulia. I hope a tech-savvy person will come up with a solution for you. Meanwhile, I will definitely mention your classes on my newsletter.
I am able to search for "juls kitchen classes" "juls kitchen carrot cake" "juls kitchen pork roast" on both Bing and Yahoo at the moment and get direct page links. I can only get links to the home page on Google. There are ways to work with google to improve indexing. It takes some work through the google account that controls "www.julskitchen.com"
Hi Giulia, I am so sorry about the blog-Google-search troubles. Apparently I can barely use IG these days🫣, but I did try to share your account. I hope it gets resolved soon!
Thank you Giulia for letting us know about the google search problem, I thought I wasn't doing something correctly. Thank you for the direct link to your website. That is so much easier. And thank for all you do promoting the Italian lifestyle. I really enjoy and appreciate it.
That's exactly what I was thinking while I was searching for my recipes and I could not find them! I'll have to use the website archive from now on, too!
I’ve tried extricating myself from Google but it’s been impossible. And of course you don’t have that option! Like others, I’m hoping a tech savvy person comes to the rescue.
I also often google/search your recipes!
But the beach, the stars, the dishes, and this torta salata ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Tommy tried with Bing and had the same result, and this would explain the few visits we still have. So this confirms it is Google that is not showing our blog. I don’t know if this is a good or bad news! :D
I'm so sorry to hear about this Google disappearance mystery! I soooo wish we could all divest from Google somehow and still continue to have careers and lives online. I don't have any useful suggestions for you, sadly, but I'm staying tuned here in case someone does a solution or some insight. Wishing you a speedy and complete internet recovery soon!
We’ve got the heat, humidity and mosquitoes too! Reality of the climate change (that supposedly doesn’t exist). But like you we also enjoy the night sky and current crop of fresh veggies. Your zinnias are AWESOME, I love them. Sad to hear about the internet mess and have my fingers crossed that you solve the problem. Looking forward to the next round of Sunday cooking sessions!
Fingers crossed your tech issue with google is resolved promptly so you can enjoy more stress free summer days at the beach! What a beautiful spot it looks.
Hope you find a solution real soon for your website!! Been fighting endless super heavy spam for the last two years, and I had to move everything to a new server / work with a new programmer. Such a pain in the 🍑!!
Gosh that sounds so awful! I do hope you get your tech problems sorted soon. I am planning on travelling to Italy next year, so I'm going to see if I can fit in a cooking class if at all feasible!
Hi Giulia. Sorry to hear about the tech problem. Awful.
I used to be a travel journalist and I still follow the trends. The big news there right now is how travel companies and products like yours are found by people planning their holidays on AI. Apparently many people no longer search for a holiday on Google. So the big focus for many small travel firms is writing their blogs to answer questions that answer stuff people ask on AI so they come up on the AI searches. It’s called GEO. There is lots of material online about how to point your blog to AI. This PR I know is specialising in it. Might be worth a chat with her. She’s on LinkedIn https://www.prweek.co.uk/article/1964212/exclusive-ex-lotus-boss-launches-tourism-hospitality-consultancy
I was going to say something similar to Jeanette here, and I’m so sorry this is happening to you. It feels a very weird year in the travel space. My interpretation is also that editors used to be the tastemakers and their recommendations and suggestions were a starting point, now it’s the tail wagging the dog and the content they publish is responding to people’s searches… but then how will anyone find something new and unusual, or unique and wonderful like your cooking school? I hope it can be fixed and you can get back on track. ✊🏼
I am sorry this is happening - I don't use Google to search anymore because all the results are driven by AI now - I use Duck Duck Go and I searched up "Juls Kitchen Tuscany" and your site was the first hit and also there is a TripAdvisor link to your cooking classes. I know Google rules, but I also know many people are shifting away from Google as a search engine too... I hope you figure out how to get back there though....
I really feel for you - I literally had a nightmare earlier in the week that AI wiped the entire internet and therefore my business too! Have you tried re-submitting the site to Google via Google Search Console?

Hi, just checking, did you recieve my e-mail related Google for developers tips?
Hi Maria, yes! I’m going through my emails right now after a cooking class and a long weekend! Thank you in advance, and you’ll read me soon via email!
Don’ t hurry, I was not sure about right e-mail address 😊

that's what is giving us a bit of hope. Other search engines are still showing our blog! We have a tech expert checking the blog now!

thank you, Kelcey!

Exactly, the only problem is that I have to be there... I'll keeping my fingers crossed!
Interestingly:
I tried searching Google in Safari for “juls kitchen pork roast” and only get links to your substack or other random Tuscany and food accounts
Then I searched with DuckDuckGo and immediately got links to your original website.
So at least that?
I use that for my default browser and search now but it’s not always as good at finding things so I keep Google around for when needed.
Tommy tried with Bing and had the same result, and this would explain the few visits we still have. So this confirms it is Google that is not showing our blog. I don’t know if this is a good or bad news! :D
Argh!
Yes, agreed. Hoping for a remedy! ❤️

Thank you, Missy! I surely won't give the blog for granted anymore!

As soon as temperatures cool down a bit (September, I fear) we will be back with the Sunday cooking session calendar. I can't wait!
Fingers crossed your tech issue with google is resolved promptly so you can enjoy more stress free summer days at the beach! What a beautiful spot it looks.
thank you so much, Lauren!
