I preordered too and am really looking forward to receiving it. This may sound a little weird, but I’ve loved artichokes since I was a child and my Sicilian mom cooked them. As I’ve aged my arthritis has become worse and my teeth no longer come together to scrape the artichoke leaves. So when I just read your technique for cooking the whole artichoke and softening it up to use in other dishes, I became very excited. This, undoubtedly, will be the first thing I try. Thank you.
My Kindle version arrived this morning! I have already flipped through it and can’t wait to begin reading it page by page this evening. The Kindle version lets me have in hand wherever I am, now at our home in Italy! Grazie mille, cara Giulia e COMPLIMENTI E CONGRATULAZIONI a te ed a Tommaso! Katia e Nicola🌻🎉🎉🎉😘
I love Kindle versions, too! this helps me to add cookbooks to my collection without @Tommaso Galli noticing it! ahahaha! Grazie Katia! can’t wait to see what you’ll cook from it!
Congratulations!!! I pre-ordered it and am so looking forward to seeing it in person, flipping through it, and trying things out. Wonderful timing, though spring comes late here in New Hampshire, U.S. I’m currently reading a book called Fridge Love by Kristen Hong, so I’m super-inspired right now.
Does this book come in Italian? It is truly fantastic and my Italian housekeeper in Tuscany would love it! My Sicilian Grandmother cooked artichokes like you do!!! Fabulous recipes!
Enjoying the kindle version. This week we plan to make the involtini di verza Stuffed Cabbage Rolls since a kind neighbor gave us some greens including lovely cabbage leaves. We have a local beach trip coming up, and I may recommend we try making pici. Have to decide what veg will go well with fresh seafood.
Your book arrived this afternoon and I have just sat down to start my first run through. This is when I place bookmarks to note the recipes I know I’ll try before reading the book from cover to cover. I’ve seen three recipes and dropped three bookmarks. With the spring vegetables just beginning to emerge in Upstate New York, I am looking forward to cooking through this book in the coming seasons. Grazie mille!!!
Chris picked up our pre-ordered copy at our local independent bookstore this afternoon. The person at the counter told him that she thought the cookbook looked interesting so she had ordered a couple of extra copies. I'd love to post the photo of the bookshelf but can't figure out how to add photos to these comments so I'll post on Facebook. The book looks wonderful! I think first up will be the asparagus with anchovy dressing since we're enjoying delicious local asparagus now. I also have to say I loved recognizing the hands in the photos and all the familiar faces! Can't wait to see all of you.
Your book just arrived and it is beautiful! I can't wait to start cooking from front to back! Tommasso's photos are gorgeous! Congratulations to both of you! I was so excited that I tried to email you a photo of it coming out of the box, but substack wouldn't let me. Haha!

This is a beautiful message, Annette! I’m sorry about what you write, but very happy you might have found another way to enjoy artichokes!
It’s a beauty Juls! Congratulations
Thank you, Hetty! we’re still celebrating after a week, still pinching ourselves for all the love the book is receiving!
I'm excited! Amazon emailed to say that it will be delivered today. You're the best! Congratulations!
