My heart is in Lucca. I have my family there, but the first time I went to Lucca I was 10 yrs old and it was home to me then and still is. I love to visit all of Italy but feel like I am home only in Lucca.

Hi Tomaso, I've been fortunate to call Honolulu and San Diego home. They are pretty hard to beat. If I had to choose it would be Sonoma for the land and food. Italy would be my choice for another country, again for the land, food and people. Look forward to more postcards. Grazie!

I just retired after 30 years of teaching. I am trying to live in Italy and I adore Florence but everyone says I have to go to Lucca. I’ll be there Aug 5-8. I’d love to get some recommendations for restaurants, food tours, markets etc. I’ll be staying in the center. Grazie mille! 🇮🇹♥️

Definitely Italy ... without a second thought! Actually, that's been my Plan B for life.

Ahhhh Lucca! When we were free to travel more often to Italy, we would plan our trips around the Lucca antiques fair weekend.

We love it there and have many treasures from the market here in our home in Boston.

Of course I would love to have a food guide!

E si, ho visto la piccola Livia nel foto ❤️🤩

Siena…❤️ Which is close enough to Colle di Val d’Elsa to get hands-on training in Giulia’s kitchen! We’ll be with her in October and look forward to meeting you!

For me, it’s San Diego - and we just moved there! (Here). Not settled in yet, but the life-change feels good.

You did ask which city in our country so I have to say San Francisco, California. It is cosmopolitan and diverse. It is a city of culture and fine food. It is near the Golden Gate Bridge which leads to towns like Sausalito and Tiburon. It is not far from Muir Woods where the age-old Sequoia Trees grow. Thank you for your postcards, Tommaso. Regards to Giulia. Rosalie

Hi, Tommaso! I’d enjoy a foodie guide of Lucca. For many decades I’ve been in love with NYC, but would now consider a slower paced community to live in--somewhere in the Catskills perhaps. Wherever I live, there must be mountains!!

I would love to read a foodie Guide to Lucca! My husband and I spent most of a day in Lucca on our one trip to Italy. We rode a two-person bike around the walls and got a parking ticket :( We loved Lucca and hope to visit Italy again soon. If I could live anywhere else in the US, I think it would be Sonoma, California. But my real dream is to live in Italia.

We are visiting many regions of Italy to figure out where we might want to buy a home or apartment. We lived in Roma for a year, but Lucca is where we would like to be for the long term. We were there in November and December last year and fell in love too. Our last days were as the Christmas lights were being illuminated. It was beautiful! We were in Piemonte in May of this year and liked LaMorra and Torino. But, Lucca is still #1! Ciao to Juls and Livia 💕🇮🇹

Oh my, this postcard took me on several memory trips to Lucca. First time, by myself, where I first fell in love with the piazza del Anfiteatro and it’s resident artist, Bianchi, and the Guinigi Tower for the views from the tree garden top. Subsequent trips with friends to introduce them to this charming town. In a heartbeat I would delight in another stay in this welcoming city if only in my dreams.

Grazie Tomasso for this postcard. ❤️
