I was one of the lucky 500 who participated in your cooking classes this year, the last one in December. It was such a treat! Mt husband and I are still traveling Italy by bike…and will be in Catania for a week over Christmas. We have a little kitchenette at our apartment, and I am excited to visit to local market in Catania and try to recreate your delicious apple cake! Have you ever made it with citrus? The tangerines are amazing here in Sicily!
I had never had them before our last trip—I made them with Emiko—they are very unusual in the US. I only had seen them once at our farmer’s market, and it was while I was leaving. I thought “Oh I will get those next time” and never saw them again.
I’ve looked for them for the past two weeks and finally found some, so they will be on our Christmas Eve table and I am planning on a gratin. Love the sound of the hazelnuts!
Laura is very skeptical—she has not had them and her eyes got very big when they were delivered. Michela has already said “no way” 😂
We are having an arista, but this time I may actually roast it in the oven with potatoes—I have not made a pork loin any other way that’s your stovetop recipe in so long I am a little nervous!
Also doing your grilled radicchio with parmigiano and walnuts so you are very much the star of our holiday meal.
Baccala salad. Escarole Pie. Christmas will be stuffed shells.
Love baccalà! It is on our menu, too!
Buon Natale, Giulia!
Grazie Portia, buon Natale a te!
Thank you, Giulia. I'm looking forward to my pasta and lentils to usher in the New Year. Merry Christmas. Dr. Ed
Thank you, Ed! Merry Christmas to you, too!
Merry Christmas Giulia
Buon natale and thank you for this great and delicious year.
